The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has chosen Madrid to host the new 2019 and 2020 Davis Cup Finals. The best international teams will get together in Madrid turning it into a tennis capital.
For this edition, the format of the cup will be changed: Finals will take place in a Group-Stage format over the first four days, with the competing countries divided into six groups of three teams.
After the first stages (France, Croatia, Spain and the USA, as this year’s Davis Cup semifinalists plus Argentina and Great Britain who were awarded wild cards and directly qualified for the finals), the 18 teams are divided into six groups of three teams to play the finals in November.
